Afterwards Finn and Quinn start a formal relationship without secrets, but he breaks up with her because he still loves Rachel. In Season 3, Quinn comes back from summer with an all-new-bad-girl look. She quits New Directions to be with her new friends The Skanks, but she comes back to her old look and rejoins New Directions in order to get Beth back. She tries to make Shelby, the one that adopted her baby, appear as an unfit mother. However, Puck tells her that he is in love with Shelby, which gives Quinn a plan to tell Mr. Figgins, but Rachel convinces her to not do it. She realizes that if she wants Beth safe, she has to stay with Shelby. After that, Quinn becomes a very close friend of Rachel, and enrolls in Yale University and gets in.
